The first phase of this project was to design and construct a 2-story medical office building on Public Square in Watertown. Purcell Construction Corp. assembled and directed the efforts of a Design/Build team that included a local Architect and Mechanical/Electrical consultants and subcontractors. Working closely with City of Watertown Officials, we obtained all necessary approvals and permits for the construction of the office building.
The Woodruff Professional Building houses three medical practices, and ancillary services. The ground floor is a parking garage, and the first floor facing downtown Public Square currently houses a retail provider. Particular challenges involved in this project were the coordination of a design that met the criteria for the Historic Downtown District, and the logistical difficulties in performing construction work in a downtown location.
